Great post! I attended a webinar with Codie Sanchez about buying "boring" businesses and received a high-level overview of what it takes. I agree with you about not buying a business you hate because it will become a money pit instead of an income/revenue generator. There are several businesses I'm considering, including a veterinary practice. However, some terms state that you must have a licensed veterinarian as a partner. It makes sense.

Thank you so much! I appreciate you reading the piece and offering insight.

Yeah, Codie is incredible. Love her work and teaching on the subject—plus her experience!

But, you get it. Who wants to do all the work to hate it? Nothing wrong with being intentional.

Love the idea of a vet business! I’d say if it’s something you want—maybe you need to be creative? Find a vet looking to see or needing help with a skill you have. Can’t hurt to have the conversation!

Please let me know if I can help!!

It’s a good point about helping a vet; I can leverage my communications and digital marketing consulting. I’ve also been researching vet practices for sale in and out of my state because I’d like to relocate.

Thank you, I will!
